Felix Arvid Ulf Kjellberg AKA PewDiePie shares His workout routine

PewDiePie broke the internet when his girlfriend, Marzia Kjellberg, posted a shirtless picture of him where he looked really ripped.

He later made a video about addressing his workout routine because this picture created a huge buzz on the internet. He told the story of how the picture was taken which Marzia later uploaded on her Instagram because it would be “lame” if he did it.

Anyway four months later, he uploaded this picture on his Instagram with the caption, “Last day of no simp September boys”.

P.S: I didn’t find it lame.

PewDiePie’s Workout Routine

According to PewDiePie, his five-day dumbbell workout routine begins on Monday with him focusing heavily on his chest and finishing on his shoulders.

Tuesday is a leg day where he does squats, dead-lifts, and lunges, meanwhile Wednesday is reserved for pull exercises.

Thursday is another leg day whereas Friday is a mix of both push and pull exercises.

He didn’t really take a deep dive explaining his workout routine and concluded by saying that he just searched google for a workout routine and whatever seemed to have fit his bill, he did that.

What I really liked about the video of his workout “review” is that he was honest about the whole process and was really really careful about spreading misinformation, hats off.

He straight up told his audience to absorb information and ask qualified professionals rather than relying on other sources of information that can cause more harm than good.

As he’s not a fitness professional, he didn’t give any fitness advice as such, whatever he conveyed throughout the video were more about the mindset people should have that can get them better results and some general information around health and fitness that he knew is true like increasing the consumption of protein. He talks about being consistent with the workout that got him the results.

The only thing I would like to point out from his video is that repping till failure is not the only way to gain muscle and strength and there are various metrics that come into play while setting up rep ranges. If you like to learn more about rep ranges, click here.

The Takeaway

The only thing you should take away from PewDiePie’s video is that you need to be consistent in your workouts, take things slow so as not to injure yourself.

He also talks about having control over yourself and cut off bad habits like he stopped drinking after acknowledging it as a problem. Taking inspiration from that you can cut your bad habits off like cutting processed sugar in your diet, junk food, etc. and increase protein in your diet. Cut off your bad habits and replace them with good ones.

“Lastly, if you feel good about yourself already, there’s no shame whatever shape or size you are,” PewDiePie closed the video. He emphasized that the video is never made to make anyone feel like “they have to be like this.” “This is just something that works for me, and I’m very happy of.”
